This Privacy Policy describes how Jay Pidazo / Just Another Tech ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use The Confident Tech website and 90-Day Program ("the Service").

Information you provide directly:

Name and email address — when you request the free ebook or register for the Program
Account credentials — email and password when you create an account
Program activity — module progress, daily check-ins, assessment answers, challenge streaks, and the Competent Tech Oath completion

Information collected automatically:

Basic usage data (pages visited, time spent) via Firebase Analytics
Device type and browser information for technical troubleshooting

We do not collect payment card information directly — any future paid features will be handled by a third-party payment processor.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Deliver the free ebook to your email address
Create and manage your Program account
Save and display your progress across the 90-day journey
Send program-related emails (welcome, reminders, completion milestones)
Improve the Program based on how it is being used
Respond to your questions and support requests

We will not send unsolicited marketing emails unrelated to the Program. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email we send.

3. How We Store Your Information

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which provides industry-standard encryption and security. Firebase servers are operated by Google LLC and may be located outside the Philippines. By using the Service, you consent to your data being stored and processed on these servers.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We may share data with:

Google Firebase — for database and authentication infrastructure
Email delivery services — to send the ebook and program notifications (e.g., Firebase Trigger Email extension)
Legal authorities — if required by law, regulation, or court order

5. Cookies

Firebase Authentication uses browser local storage and session cookies to keep you logged in. These are strictly necessary for the Service to function. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate information
Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal data
Unsubscribe — opt out of email communications at any time

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

9. Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to external websites (e.g., supplier resources, tech communities). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
